·   Jessie David, who received the Education $2,500 competitive scholarship, is a sophomore seeking a bachelor’s in education from UAF. 

Anchorage, Alaska

·   Donalene Fleagle, who received the Fairbanks Native Association Non-Traditional $1,000 competitive scholarship, is seeking a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA).

·   Jessica Lundeen, who received the Maher Committee Choice $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a senior seeking a bachelor’s in nursing from UAA. 

Fairbanks, Alaska

·   Adeline Bolz, who received the Natural Resources Committee Choice $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).

·   Kimberly Carlo, who received the Natural Resources Vocational $3,000 competitive scholarship, is seeking a certificate in safety/health/environmental awareness from UAF.  

·   Andrea Clemens, who received the Business $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a senior seeking a bachelor’s in business administration from UAF.

·   Lillian DeWilde, who received the Education $2,500 competitive scholarship, is a junior seeking a bachelor’s in education from UAF. 

·   Kailey Erickson, who received the Committee Choice $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in health sciences from Brigham Young University. 

·   Shawna Hildebrand, who received the Liberal Art $5,000 competitive scholarship, is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in psychology from Fort Lewis College.

·   LaVern Huntington, who received the Vocational $5,000 competitive scholarship, is seeking an associate’s in applied business from UAF.  

·   Amber Kocsis, who received the Thompson Graduate $7,000 competitive scholarship, is seeking a dual degree in business/law from the University of Michigan.

·   Jeremy Maguire, who received the Science $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a junior seeking a bachelor’s in wildlife biology from UAF.

·   Maureen Mayo, who received the Vocational $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a seeking an associate’s in applied business from UAF.

·   Amy McKnight, who received the Fairbanks Native Association Potential $1,000 competitive scholarship, is seeking a certificate in court reporting from the College of Court Reporting.  

·   Abigail Scannell, who received the Thompson Business $5,000 competitive scholarship, is a junior seeking a bachelor’s in business admininstration from UAF.

·   Peter Aloysius, who received the Natural Resources Engineering $5,000 competitive scholarship, is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in civil or mechanical engineering from UAF.

·   Doreen Paul, who received the Thompson Committee Choice $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a junior seeking a bachelor’s in justice from UAF. 

·   Stephanie Sweetsir, who received the Sociology/Political Science/Psychology $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a senior seeking a bachelor’s in psychology from UAF.

Holy Cross, Alaska

·   Dorothy Walker, who received the Committee Choice $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in geology from UAF.

·   Esther Edwards-Gust, who received the Education $3,000 competitive scholarship, is a junior seeking a bachelor’s in education from UAF.

·   Charla Bear, who lives in Oakland, California, received the Graduate $7,000 competitive scholarship.  She is seeking a master’s in journalism from UC Berkeley.

·   Cayenne Nikoosh Carlo, who lives in La Jolla, California, received the Graduate $7,000 competitive scholarship.  She is seeking a PhD in neuroscience from UC San Diego.  

·   Ron Denny, who lives in Albuquerque, N.M., received the Engineering $3,000 competitive scholarship.  He is a senior seeking a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico.  

·   Tiffani Ivey, who lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, received the Graduate $7,000 competitive scholarship.  She is seeking a PhD in pharmacy from the University of New Mexico.

·   Sadie Sam, who lives in Houghton, Michigan, received the Liberal Art $3,000 competitive scholarship.  She is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in art education from Western Michigan University.

·  Danielle Stickman, who lives in Hilo, Hawaii, received the Natural Resources Rural Development $1,500 competitive scholarship.  She is a freshman seeking a bachelor’s in marine science from University of Hawaii at Hilo.

The Doyon Foundation competitive scholarships are funded through corporate and individual donations.  “To those who give so generously to the Foundation, we extend a heartfelt thank you,” said Sharon McConnell, Doyon Foundation Executive Director. “We would especially like to thank Doyon, Limited, our largest corporate funder, and the individual donors who pledge $1,000 a year through our Nee Ts’ee Neeyh (We all give or help) program.”
