A Deg Xinag (Holy Cross, Anvik, Grayling, Shageluk) Language class instructed by Alice Taff along with community members/elders – Edna Deacon, James Dementi and others as available is currently being offered. This class is sponsored by the Iditarod Area School District. There will also be a videoconference site at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). The UAF Alaska Native Language Center is working to get the course on the fall schedule and the draft syllabus is attached. For questions, contact Beth Leonard at brleonard@alaska.edu.
