Program Coordinator I

Fairbanks Position with Health & Social Services

The Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is hiring a Program Coordinator I that will work as a rural specialist. This position is part of a team of program coordinators responsible for planning, development, and implementation of programs and statewide resources.

This position will work closely with DJJ staff, tribal councils, elders, native entities, education staff, and other members of rural communities to increase communication and relationships in order to more effectively transition youth back to their home community following treatment in a DJJ secure facility or other residential facility. The position will work with rural communities to identify and expand the unique resources of identified communities in an effort to support prevention and intervention programs/activities that may keep youth from entering the juvenile justice system.
