When you call Doyon Foundation, you may notice a new voice at the other end of the phone – our new administrative assistant, Flo Grant! Flo joined the Foundation team earlier this summer and we are thrilled to welcome her.Flo

“I wanted to work here at the Foundation because it focuses on two very important social needs of our people, which is education and language revitalization,” shared Flo, who was born and raised in Tanana, Alaska. She is the daughter of Adele Grant and the late Gary Albert, and the granddaughter of the late Richard and Regina Grant, and Jacob Starr and Mary Albert.

A Doyon, Limited shareholder and Foundation student, Flo is working toward a degree in tribal management and a certificate in applied business. She plans on graduating in May 2019. Before joining the Foundation, Flo served as the executive assistant to Uqaqti Consulting LLC’s president/owner and Doyon shareholder Joy Huntington.

When she’s not helping things run smoothly at the Foundation, Flo enjoys spending time with her family, taking road trips to Tanana, walking at Creamers Field, sewing beads, learning from other master beadwork artists, and being a part of the Tanana Traditional Dancers.
