Bertina J. Titus is a board member of Doyon Foundation and a lifelong resident of Minto, AK. A former Doyon Foundation scholarship recipient, Bertina is deeply committed to supporting education, cultural preservation, and community growth throughout the Doyon region.

Bertina graduated from Howard Luke High School, now known as Effie Kokrine Charter School, and continued her education through coursework at University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she is only a few credits away from earning her Associate of Arts degree. Her professional and leadership experience includes many years of service on the boards of Seth-De-Ya-Ah Corporation and Minto Development Corporation, where she also served in secretary roles. She has additionally contributed her time to Healing Native Hearts and several community committees and initiatives.

A passionate advocate for youth, culture, and language revitalization, Bertina has coached basketball, organized cultural camps, participated in the Minto Native dance group, and supported youth programs in her community. She also helped document traditional knowledge, including sled building and moose hide tanning practices, to preserve these teachings for future generations. Bertina is actively involved in revitalizing the Minto language through collaboration with educators and language experts, while also working directly with students in Minto schools.

Bertina chose to serve on the Doyon Foundation board to give back to her community and help others grow through education, culture, and shared wisdom. She believes strongly in supporting future generations and ensuring Indigenous language and cultural knowledge continue to thrive. Through her service, she hopes to expand opportunities for others while continuing to learn and strengthen her ability to serve her people and community.
