Doyon Foundation is pleased to announce that the 24th annual Morris Thompson Memorial Golf Classic will be held on June 19-20, 2025, at the Chena Bend Golf Course on Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Golf Classic was established in honor of the late Morris Thompson, who served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Doyon, Limited, from 1985 until his passing in 2000.  

The Doyon Foundation was established as a non-profit in 1989 to provide educational, cultural, and career opportunities. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support their Morris Thompson competitive scholarship fund. Since its inception in 2001, the fund has awarded 345 scholarships totaling $793,930. These scholarships are awarded to Doyon Shareholders and Descendants who exhibit the qualities admired in Morris, such as vision, leadership, and integrity. 

The Doyon Foundation is seeking to procure silent and live auction items for bidding online and at the event. This can be art, Proceeds will support our language, scholarship, and workforce programs. Staff would be happy to personally pick up any donation, certificate, or display materials you donate for the Golf Classic.
