Doyon Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Elizabeth Green to Program Manager in our Language Revitalization department!
Elizabeth, originally from Galena, is a Doyon, Limited shareholder and proud University of Alaska Fairbanks graduate, earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. As a former Doyon Foundation scholarship recipient, she is deeply grateful for the support she received during her six years of schooling—support that helped her graduate debt-free.
Elizabeth is the daughter of Charlie and Claudette Green, and her grandparents are Carol Lowe and the late Don Lowe on her mother’s side, and the late Floyd and Betty Green on her father’s side.
Elizabeth has spent the last three years with Doyon Foundation, most recently as our Scholarship Assistant. In that role, she provided invaluable support to students pursuing their educational goals, always bringing dedication, warmth, and professionalism to her work.
In her new role as Program Manager, Elizabeth will lead the Denaakk’e Gamification Program and oversee federal grant objectives in the Language Revitalization department.
Executive Director Mariah Pitka shares, “We are incredibly fortunate to have Elizabeth in this role. Coming from a long line of Denaakk’e teachers and speakers, she brings both heritage and expertise. By leading the Gamification project, Elizabeth will carry forward the proud tradition of teaching our language.”
Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth on this well-deserved promotion!
