Full-time Awards
Full-Time Awards are for degree-seeking students enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university, technical or vocational school. Scholarships of $2,400 are awarded three times per year, for the spring, summer and fall semesters. These are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to all eligible students.
Part-time Awards
Part-Time Awards are for degree-seeking students enrolled part-time at an accredited college, university, technical or vocational school. Scholarships of $1,600 are awarded three times per year, for the spring, summer and fall semesters.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Doyon Foundation scholarship, applicants must:
•Be a Doyon, Limited shareholder or be the child of a shareholder. If the applicant is not a shareholder, but is the child of a shareholder, a copy of an original birth certificate is required for verification. Gifted or inherited shares do not qualify an individual for scholarship eligibility.
•Be accepted to an accredited college, university, technical or vocational school.
•Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates, 3.0 for graduates or masters, and 3.25 for specialists or doctorates.
•Be enrolled in 12 or more credits (undergraduates), or 9 or more credits (graduates) to be considered full-time students.
•Be enrolled in 3 to 11 credits (undergraduates), or 2 to 8 credits (graduates) to be considered part-time students.
•Applicants cannot be recipients of multiple scholarships simultaneously.
What do I need to apply?
Unofficial Transcripts from the last school attended are required with each application. Students new to higher education must submit their most current senior-level transcript or GED scores.
Final grades will need to be submitted once a term has ended and the student has applied for the next term.
