NABL is sponsoring a Special Presentation by Native American journalist Mark Trahant Trahant is a 2009 Kaiser Media Fellow who is writing about health care reform through the lens of other government-operated health care programs like the Indian Health Service. This presentation will be held Thursday, February 11 at 1pm in the Rural Student Services Gathering Room, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Main Floor of the Brooks Building.
Trahant is the former editorial page editor for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and has worked as a reporter, editor and columnist at the Seattle Times, Arizona Republic and other newspapers in the western United States. He has won numerous journalism awards and was a finalist for the 1989 Pulitzer Prize in national reporting.
