Rio Tinto is seeking talented and enthusiastic university students to undertake internships (paid work experience) in their field of study during the summer at our US operations. Embarking upon one of our internships will give students the opportunity to work on technical projects, conduct research or be part of a site operations team. Additionally students will have the opportunity to work with, and learn from, a diverse group of professionals who are leaders in their field. Students will be undertaking real work that will add value to Rio Tinto and provide them with valuable insight into the mining industry. The aim of their internships is to source future graduates and potentially future leaders within the Rio Tinto Group. Internships also provide the opportunity to explore our operations and help to develop your career path.
Eligibility
Internship opportunities are available to undergraduate students attending an accredited university who meet the following requirements:
· Overall GPA of above 3.0
· Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
· Eligibility to work in the US at the location of the internship
