Northern Industrial Training has been awarded a Federal grant through the US Department of Education Alaska Native Adult Education Program. NIT is currently offering the following class: Pipefitting Level I and Level II. This is an 8-Week commitment – only those who can commit to this training should apply.

Training dates: October 25 – December 17, 2010

Application deadline: October 19, 2010

This program requires the following:
Alaska Drivers License or State issued ID
Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical
FMCSA/DOT Drug Test
Social Security card
Letter of Recommendation (from current Employer, Past Employer or Tribal Council)
Complete Work History or Resume
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be Alaska Native – CIB or BIA card required as proof

The DOT physical and FMCSA/Drug test are not covered under the grant. These costs are the applicant’s responsibility and should be done once they have been accepted into the program.
