Washington Semester American Indian Program – Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS)

You are invited to participate in a unique internship opportunity in Washington, DC through Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS) at American University, one of USA Today’s top 100 schools. This experiential education program is focused on developing leadership and professional skills through an internship experience and academics. WINS is an experiential internship program for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students. All American University academic credit hours are transferable and interested candidates should consult their home school academic advisors.

Department of Homeland Security – Office of Emergency Preparedness

Bureau of Indian Affairs – Office of the Assistant Secretary on Indian Affairs (legal internship only)

Social Security Administration – Office of Research and Development

National Council on Historic Preservation
