Executive Director Have you reached a point in your career that you want to give back to the community or provide a great service? Are you drawn to non-profit organizations? Alaska Children’s Trust (ACT), a mission-driven non-profit organization which is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in our state, is seeking an Executive Director – someone like you.
Alaska Children’s Trust Overview
Initially formed in Alaska in the 1980s, ACT existed under the management umbrella of the State of Alaska for more than 20 years. In order to better fulfill its mission, ACT and Friends of the Alaska Children’s Trust are currently merging into a single dynamic, non-profit organization. ACT provides grant funding to organizations and agencies working to prevent child abuse and neglect at the local and state levels; educates the public, state officials, and service providers in best practices to prevent child abuse and neglect; works with communities to assist them with efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect, and serves as a catalyst to convene all interested parties in raising overall awareness of child abuse and neglect by providing leadership to address this issue. ACT exists as a separate 501(c)3 organization, but enjoys a unique collaborative agreement with The Foraker Group to maximize resources; thus the executive director of ACT is an employee of The Foraker Group.
