There is a new way to show support of the Doyon Foundation. The Foundation is now one of the 415 nonprofits included in the Pick. Click. Give. PFD Charitable Contributions Program! That means when Alaskans apply for a 2012 PFD, they can donate a portion of their dividend to Doyon Foundation.

“We are so excited to be part of this groundbreaking program that allows Alaskans to quickly and easily benefit their favorite nonprofits by giving some – or all – of their PFD. We hope that our existing donors will take advantage of this new opportunity to make a contribution, and we hope that this opens the door to new donors learning about our work and supporting the hundreds of students we serve every year,” said Doris Miller, Doyon Foundation’s executive director.

Since launching two years ago, Pick. Click. Give. has helped generate nearly $1.5 million for Alaska causes. Alaskans can choose to donate any amount, from $25 to the full amount of their dividend, to hundreds of Alaska nonprofit organizations working to support the arts, education, social services and other causes.

The 2012 PFD application will be available online January 1, and is due March 31. Online applicants will see the “Pick. Click. Give.” option. To make a donation, simply click the link and follow the instructions.
