We will once again participate in the Pick. Click. Give. PFD Charitable Contributions Program, and you can show your support of students and scholarships by donating a portion of your dividend to Doyon Foundation when completing your 2013 PFD application. The application window opens January 1 and the deadline to apply is March 31.
We were a Pick. Click. Give. recipient for the first time in 2012, when 78 Alaskans gave a total of $5,503 from their PFDs to the Foundation. This was impressive especially considering that 2012 was our first year of participating in Pick. Click. Give. We expect these numbers to grow in the coming years as more people hear about this easy way to support the Foundation.
Statewide, Alaskans pledged $2.2 million to more than 400 nonprofit organizations through Pick. Click. Give. That’s an increase of nearly 50 percent over last year’s total, and four times more than in the program’s first year, when Alaskans gave $545,000.
