A great volunteer opportunity for Anchorage based Alumni!

The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education is seeking volunteers to participate in a career panel for the Kids2College program! We have 3 events planned this March and will need 3 volunteers for each event. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to talk with 5th & 6th grade students about their own educational and career experiences. Each volunteer will be provided with guiding questions and asked to speak for about 5 minutes to the class, then be available for Q&A at the end of the panel. Would you or someone you know be interested in and available to help inspire these students with college and career stories? The 3 dates and schools are listed below. A sample of what we are looking for is attached. Volunteers will not be responsible for speaking during the entire block of time. Please reply and volunteer to help inspire Anchorage youth today!

Tuesday, March 5 (2:40pm – 3:20pm) at Willow Crest Elementary

Monday, March 18 (9:00am – 9:45am) at Fairview Elementary

Wednesday, March 20 (2:30 – 3:15pm) at North Star Elementary

Thanks!
