Summer Intern Program for Recent High School Graduates – Washington, D.C

All Alaskan high school students in their senior year may apply for the opportunity to spend four weeks in Senator Murkowski’s Washington, D.C. office. The Senator will select a total of twenty students from all areas of Alaska to participate in two, month-long sessions. Housing and transportation will be coordinated by the Senator’s office, but interns will be responsible for the cost. High School interns will be paid a small stipend.

The 2013 H.S. sessions are:

1st Session – June 3rd through June 28th
2nd Session – July 8th through August 2nd

· The application process for the 2013 High School Summer Intern Program will close on March 14, 2013 at 8pm (AKDT).

· Applicants will be notified of selection by April 12, 2013.
