This message contains information about the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Junior Summer Institute (JSI).
The Public Policy and International Affairs Program is a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting efforts to increase diversity in public service for over 30 years. Students who are selected for the 2016 Junior Summer Institute Fellowship cohort will study on the campus of one of four participating universities: Carnegie Mellon University, University of California-Berkeley, Princeton University, or University of Michigan.
Interested students must meet the eligibility criteria below, follow the guidelines, and apply by Tuesday, November 1, 2015 11:59 PM (EST).
Eligibility
- College Juniors
- Individuals who possess a passion for public service in diverse communities
- United States citizens or permanent residents.
- or AB 540 students studying in a U.S. based four-year college or university
- or International students studying in a U.S. based four-year college or university

Benefits of Completing a Junior Summer Institute:
- Minimum of a one-time, $5,000 scholarship at a PPIA graduate school if admitted for a Master’s degree. PPIA Fellows often receive financial offers above and beyond this minimum from their graduate program.
