Seeking 27 more volunteers to help inspire young Alaskans to pursue higher education by volunteering a few hours this fall with the I Know I Can program – a partnership activity with the University of Alaska College Savings Plan.

If you’ve thought about volunteering and haven’t signed up, now is the time!  Please also consider sharing this message with your friends and co-workers!

Volunteers will visit second grade classrooms, read the I Know I Can storybook with students and do a fun activity with the class, where students draw pictures of what they want to be when they grow up onto postcards which will be mailed back to them in 2 years. Total time commitment is 1-1.5 hrs plus a brown bag training orientation Wed. Oct 28 at 12pm. (If you can volunteer but are unavailable for the training, please let me know and we will work something out.)
