First Alaskans Institute (FAI) announces our 2016 Summer Internship Program to place Alaska Native/American Indian and rural undergraduate and graduate students into organizations around Alaska to provide dynamic leadership development and employment experience. In order to apply, students must be high school graduates currently enrolled in a higher education institution, or recent graduates of a higher education institution.
Since 2004 FAI has placed 283 interns in over 110 different partner organizations in 26 communities across Alaska. FAI will continue to work towards strengthening relationships with current partners, establishing new partners, especially in our villages and hub communities, and seek ways to improve the program as it continues to grow. FAI values our partnerships across the state as we seek to ensure meaningful employment opportunities for the individual interns and their employers.
