At Doyon Foundation, our efforts go further than providing financial support to our students. We also want to show support by recognizing their achievements and hard work, and providing them with encouragement to keep on pursuing their goals.
With this in mind, last fall we surprised our 2017 – 2018 competitive scholarship recipients with durable and attractive backpacks embroidered with our logo and “Doyon Foundation scholar.” The backpacks were accompanied by a notecard signed by the Foundation board members stating, “We are very proud of your accomplishments and can’t wait to see how far you will go in the future. We’re sending you this backpack to help you along your educational journey. Carry it with pride and always remember we believe in you!”
After receiving the backpacks, we received a number of photos and thank you notes from our competitive scholarship recipients. We are pleased to share those with you here.

Hello,
Thank you so much for my backpack, it is so functional and can hold a surprising amount. It came at a perfect time too, right before I was putting money together to buy a new bag. Instead, that money went to books.
