Doyon Foundation is pleased to announce its upcoming move to a new office. On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Foundation will relocate from its current space at 615 Bidwell Avenue to a newly renovated building at 3702 Cameron Street, the former Sourdough Sam’s Cafe, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
To accommodate the move, the Foundation’s office will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, and will reopen on Monday, November 18, at 8 a.m. in their new building. While the physical address will change, all other contact details—including phone, fax, and email—will remain the same.
Mariah Pitka, Executive Director of Doyon Foundation, shared her enthusiasm for the move, noting, “Our new location provides expanded space for our team and allows us to better serve Doyon, Limited shareholders and our community. The building is conveniently located within walking distance of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and offers a welcoming space for students, elders, educators, and language learners.”
Jennifer Fate, President of the Doyon Foundation Board of Directors states, “The Doyon Foundation board and staff are beyond excited to open our new location – A home away from home for our Doyon, Limited Shareholders and community! Anaa Basee’ to our team who made this dream happen.”
Doyon Foundation was established in 1989 by Doyon, Limited, the Fairbanks-based regional Native corporation for Interior Alaska. The Foundation’s mission is to provide educational, career and cultural opportunities to enhance the identity and quality of life for Doyon shareholders. Since inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $16 million in scholarships to more than 18 thousand recipients.
