1. For the Sweet Summer Deal, the information is at http://www.uaf.edu/sweetsummerdeal/
2. There are also tuition awards:
SSLL Tuition Awards—SSLL offers a limited number of three-credit undergraduate tuition awards for SSLL courses to qualifying students with financial need. SSLL awards cover tuition only. Textbooks and all other fees are the responsibility of the student.
Tuition award application forms are available here or in the SSLL office. The application process includes a personal statement addressing academic goals and financial need as well as statements of support from two professional references. Applications are accepted through May 6 for MAYmester, the Full Session and Six-week Session I. Applications are accepted through June 17 for Six-week Session II. These dates are dependent on funding availability.
Please note: Students who receive a SSLL Tuition Award are not eligible for the Sweet Summer Deal and vice versa.
- New Students: This tuition award is available to a new student who is just beginning an academic career. The applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have accumulated no more than 12 university credits.
- Continuing UAF Students: This conditional tuition award is for UAF degree seeking students serious about their academic progress. Students must have a 2.5 GPA and completed FAFSA (used to determine financial need). Students must complete the course provided by the tuition award with a grade of C (2.0) or better. If the course is not successfully completed, the award will be withdrawn and the student will be responsible for tuition costs.
